Alex Soloviev is the one of the best harmonica players in Russia and a great singer. As he said in his interview ,”I didn’t choose it. The Blues, my instrument made a choice for me”. Alex plays an astonishing variety of styles on the harmonica: harp-hop, jazz, blues- hop, swing, rock’n’roll, reggae, hip-hop, d’n’b. His last concerts is a complete submersion in time of Chicago blues : songs of Little Walter, his favorite artist, Muddy Waters.
Also Alex writes his own songs,expressing his impressions of the traveling around the world,having seen poverty,injustice and people’s misery. During his long musical career he had an opportunity to play with popular bluesmen all over the world: Hiatus Koyote, Quincy Jones and others. Such opportunities he gained on his trips to Spain, Greece, Bali and other countries. In 2014-2015 he played in Montreux Jazz Festival. In his own country Alex plays concerts almost every week in most popular jazz clubs and restaurants in Moscow and Saint Petersburg: Emporio cafe, Kozlov club, B.B.King club and others .
What is more, Alex is a great harmonica teacher: he teaches a lot of talented young harper’s. During his master – classes he reveals musicians some secrets of learning techniques in 3 steps and getting the feel of music.
Alex has been performing for more than 10 years, he loves what he does and he is devoted to his style and his instrument. His ambitions go beyond the borders of his own country and his plans for the future is to appear on the stages in Europe, USA in the future. He believes that future belongs to quality music.
